   Two Suggestions:

   1) Buy some cheap pairs from H&M (59th st. @ Lex Ave.). They are about $28-$35 (H&M only carry them in Spring & Summer.)

   2) Find cargo pants (BDU, EMT, and even POLICE pants) and cut them in appropriate length. I prefer these type of pants because of roomy cuts and extra pockets. Then, for professional looks, bring those pants to local dry cleaner for alteration for about $20.
