Our Community Board actually approved a bike lane! This should be a vast improvement. Both for bikes and for limiting traffic by the park.
I just went through the comment spam filter and found a lot of comments that were not spam. They’ve finally been published. And they go back quite some time. Sorry about that.
And here’s the MTA map as of Nov 1. Brooklyn and Queens and Northern Manhattan are now connected again via Jamaica/Sutphin Blvd!
The bike-share locations are out! And Astoria gets exactly… zero. The closest is at the base of the Queensburo Bridge. And the related story in the Times.

I like this concept: “Red Lantern Bicycles, in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is the only cycling shop in the state with a liquor license.” Of course Andres over at Bicycle Repairman Corp has never objected when I bring my own. Though I do like to share.
