Hell, even Tri-Rail, the embattled comuter train line connecting Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, about as bike-hostile a place as you’ll ever find, started testing these a couple of years ago.
And the trains in Spain have a hook system going on, too (only for the regionals, though; the super-speedy trains make you buy a whole _cabin_ to be able to take your bike on.)
